From Ideas to Impact
OT Exchange is Australia’s largest clinical conference for occupational therapists, bringing together real-world knowledge and approaches that strengthen everyday practice. Designed for the whole profession, it’s the must-attend event to connect, be inspired, and shape the future of occupational therapy together.
We’re inviting submissions from clinicians, students, researchers, and exhibitors that showcase emerging or innovative practice, advancements in occupational therapy, or product and service innovations.
Presentation submissions can include, however is not limited to, submissions in the form of project briefs, practical applications of evidence-based practice, case studies, quality improvement activities, research findings, or stories and experiences. These submissions could be presented as an oral presentation, clinical conversation, workshop, occupation station or poster display. Submissions from previous years can be found here to assist in the process.
Review the following:
The submission guidelines to ensure your submission meets all formatting, and procedural requirements
Presentation types for descriptions and audience interaction expectations
Review the rubric to ensure your submission aligns with the evaluation criteria
The submission mentoring program is suitable for anyone that would like assistance or advice on submitting a presentation for a conference.
The goal of mentoring is to assist the author to present material clearly and concisely prior to submitting for the formal presentation review process. Mentoring may be useful for those who do not have access to support via their own networks or organisations, for those who have not submitted an abstract before, or for those whose first language is not English.
To apply for mentoring, please email a draft copy of your submission to conferences@otaus.com.au to be connected with a mentor. Submission mentoring has been extended to 10 November 2025.
Looking for some great submissions as a source of inspiration or guidance? Check out our submission examples from the previous OT Exchanges.
While we’ve aimed to use inclusive and accessible language, we recognise we may fall short and welcome your feedback so we can improve. Review the practice area descriptions and related keywords here. Submissions are welcome under the following practice areas:
