All participants are required to officially register.  Please read the following information before completing an online registration.  All fees are in Australian Dollars and inclusive of GST (ABN 27 075 008)

DESCRIPTION OF REGISTRATION CATEGORIES

Eligibility for discounted registrations

EARLY-BIRD: To qualify for the early bird registration rate, registration fees must be received by Wednesday 9 September 2020.  Registration fees are based on date of payment receipt, not the date of receipt of registration.

MEMBER:  To qualify for a forum member rate, you must be a member of Occupational Therapy Australia, an International Association that is a member of WFOT, or another Allied Health Association at the time of registering and at the time of the Forum.  Your membership status will be verified upon registration in order for you to retain the forum member rate.  Non-members who register at the forum member rate and have not purchased an OTA membership will be transferred to the non-member rate and invoiced for the difference.  For further information on joining as a member please visit the Occupational Therapy Australia website

NEW GRADUATE MEMBER: To qualify for a New Graduate rate, you must be (at the time of the Forum):

  • A graduate of an occupational therapy education program recognised by AHPRA and WFOT
  • Current and full registration as an occupational therapist with AHPRA
  • Must join within 12 months of course completion, and can be held for a maximum of two consecutive years.

STUDENT:  To qualify for a student rate, you must be (at the time of the Forum):

  • Studying an undergraduate or masters entry level occupational therapy education program recognised by AHPRA and WFOT and not yet graduated or
  • A full-time postgraduate student of an occupational therapy program
  • Registered as a student with AHPRA

You will need to provide proof of student status in the form of copy of a student card or copy of current enrolment which can be uploaded during the online registration process, or emailed to mentalhealthforum@otaus.com.au once your online registration has been completed.

Registration terms and conditions

Payment Methods

Full payment of fees is required before registrations can be processed and confirmed. Payment can be made in the following manner:

Please note: Credit card payment is the only payment method accepted two weeks prior to the Forum. 

Cancellation statement

Registration cancellations received in writing to Occupational Therapy Australia on or before Friday 16 October 2020 will receive a refund less a fee of $110 including GST.  No refund will be given after this date; however, an alternative delegate may be submitted. 

Face-to-Face Registration
Face-to-face registrations will be automatically transferred to a virtual registration with the difference in fees refunded/credit note. If you had already purchased a Face-to-Face registration, an OTA representative will contact you to arrange this.

Virtual Registrations
All cancellations, substitutions and transfers must be made in writing to mentalhealthforum@otaus.com.au.
Please note that refunds may take up to 4 weeks to process.

Transfer of registration (another person)

All fully paid registrations are transferable to other persons from the same organisation. Transfers can be made by the registered person in writing to Occupational Therapy Australia at mentalhealthforum@otaus.com.au no later than Friday 13 November 2020. Details must include the full name of the replacement person, their title, contact phone number and email address. All other registration details will be carried over to the new person unless otherwise specified. Transfer of registrations to another person will include the registration (including additional purchases) and accommodation bookings.

Should the new delegate not require an item previously booked by the original delegate, the cancellation and refund policy for the item cancelled will apply.

Non-attendance

No refund will be made for non-attendance at the Forum.

Cancellation of the Forum by Occupational Therapy Australia

It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of Occupational Therapy Australia to alter the times, dates, itineraries or speakers of the forum by notice to you at any time. In the unlikely event of cancellation of the forum, the maximum liability of Occupational Therapy Australia is limited to a refund of the forum registration fee with no additional liability for travel costs, hotel costs, or any other costs or expenses whatsoever. In the unlikely event of cancellation or postponement of the forum due to circumstances beyond of Occupational Therapy Australia’s reasonable control including but not limited to, acts of terrorism, war, acts of God and natural disaster, Occupational Therapy Australia cannot be held responsible for any cost, damage or expense which may be incurred by registrants as a consequence of the event being postponed or cancelled.

Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that registrants take out insurance at the time of registration to include any eventuality including but not limited to loss of fees through cancellation of registrant's participation in the forum or through cancellation of the forum, loss of airfares through cancellation for any reason including airline or related services, strikes, loss or damages to personal property, force majeure or any other reason.

Liability

Registrants attend the forum at their own risk. Registrants agree not to hold Occupational Therapy Australia liable for any losses, damages, expenses, costs, claims or liabilities suffered or incurred by registrants including consequential or indirect losses or loss of profit through registering for the forum, attending the forum, cancellation of the forum, failure of the forum to achieve your expectations, or for any error or omission by Occupational Therapy Australia. Registrants agree not to hold Occupational Therapy Australia liable or responsible for any personal injury (i.e. physical, psychological or emotional stress) or any loss or damage to personal property.
