12:05 PM - 12:45 PMBiography
Dr Marina Pinheiro is an NHMRC Fellow and researcher at the University of Sydney and the Institute for Musculoskeletal Health, with a focus on falls prevention and healthy ageing. Her work aims to improve how evidence is translated into clinical practice and policy to reduce falls among older adults. She has contributed to international guideline development, including the World Guidelines for Falls Prevention in Older Adults, and has led commissioned evidence reviews on falls prevention for the World Health Organization. Marina works closely with clinicians, health services, and policymakers to support the implementation of effective, practical, and scalable falls prevention strategies in real-world settings.
